Guide to Wet Well Refurbishment

  1.  Survey the problem to identify best course of remedial action.
  2. Provide a cost-effective quotation to refurbish the structure.
  3. Set up over-pumping and fit pip bungs.
  4. Remove any vegetation, tree roots or debris causing blockages.
  5. Prepare and clean all surfaces using HPW Jetting or other means.
  6. Seal leaks, repair joints and cracks.
  7. Install a chemical resistant fairing coat to bring concrete back to profile.
  8. Install a protective coating with resistance to hydrogen sulphide attack.
  9. Once coatings have cured, perform final checks, remove bungs and over-pumping.
  10. Return the wet well to service, with a guarantee of structural integrity. 

Periodic maintenance and cleaning of wet wells is essential to avoid blockages. With many wet wells being difficult to locate, access isn’t always possible or straightforward.
