We have completed extensive projects over many years on structural asset repairs, concrete repair systems and maintenance contracts. Using specialist repair mortars and coating systems we have worked on many structures including drum screens, water boxes, puddle pipes, culverts, steel storage tanks and vessels, internal/external pipework, bunds, roofs and walkways.
At CSC Services we have many years of experience in providing reactive outage work. These works come into effect when there is a planned shutdown of essential heavy plant, equipment or machinery in or on industrial plants (such as nuclear reactor refuelling shutdowns). Planned shutdowns open a window of opportunity to complete other essential/non-essential works.
During a shutdown of one of the reactors at Hartlepool Power Station, we undertook essential maintenance work to one of the cooling water intake areas and water boxes. We also installed a cathodic protection system to a drumscreen chamber.
We work across nuclear power stations in the UK for clients such as EDF Energy. We regularly undertake ongoing maintenance and repair services to ensure the demand for power is consistently met.
We completed a concrete remediation programme at Hinkley power station and were delighted to have been entrusted with this work. Over 300 significant concrete repairs were completed at the power station including a Sika spray-applied system. Many tonnes of specialist repair mortars and structural strengthening products were used across the plant.
We have experience working in biomass power stations which produce renewable energy sources. We have completed repair and refurbishments on behalf of Sir Robert McAlpine.
We installed a protective cementitious coatings to Lynemouth power station to preserve the new steel piling within the rail offload areas at the materials handling facility, which will receive over one million tonnes of imported wooden pellets each year to power.
