CSC Services joined over 400 consultants, contractors, bridge specialists and architects for a very informative day of learning and networking at Bridges 2019 yesterday. The annual Conference and Exhibition, held in Coventry covered a range of topical events.
With presentations including how to assure the whole-life safety of bridge infrastructure, and the day to day challenges of managing local authority bridge portfolios, bridge refurbishment was a key discussion point throughout the day. CSC Services were able to offer advice on specialist coatings to protect both concrete and steel bridges, including the latest anticorrosive and anti-carbonation paints.
A ‘Pechu Kucha’ session saw innovations from across the sector showcased. CSC services were able to display information on the latest structural expansion joint system which brings together the benefits of several different systems into one single installation; providing a watertight, trafficable, new and retrofit bridge movement / expansion joint sealing system.
