Site Agent/Engineer

We are looking for a high-performing Site Agent/Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the long-term growth of our business. This is an ideal role for a candidate willing and able to step outside the standard Site Agent role and pitch in with other aspects of management in the company.

CSC Services are a specialist contractor delivering concrete repair services to the likes of Northumbrian Water, EDF Energy and the NHS. Works include but are not limited to ground works, concrete repair, waterproofing and specialist coatings to concrete service reservoirs and other above and below ground structures.

The role

If you are the high performing Site Agent/Engineer we are looking for, you will have some estimating, contractual knowledge and working knowledge of products, application methods and a background knowledge in concrete repair, waterproofing, protective coatings and/or related disciplines. You may even be working in an organisation which doesn’t give you the chance to shine and you are hungry for that opportunity to progress up the ladder.

CSC Services are a specialist contractor working with clients including Northumbrian Water and EDF Energy providing specialist concrete repair and coating works and we have big plans! Over the next 10 years we will become a sustainable, multi-disciplinary, high performing business with multiple frameworks and regional offices across the UK.

We need an ambitious, driven go-getter to join our growing team and enable us to complete projects in a way that adds to the long-term growth of the business.

With a qualification, such as a degree in civil engineering or similar relevant qualification and significant demonstrable experience, you will have the competence and ability to work across industries/sectors. From visiting sites to survey, commercial costings, managing projects to helping with marketing you will be working as part of our senior team to develop the business. You will have working knowledge of the water sector as a site manager/agent/engineer. You must have experience but more importantly an ability to adapt, develop and grow with us!

You will work out of our North East office (Birtley, DH3 1QT). You may from time-to-time travel to sites where you might stay away from home overnight (all costs paid). Responsibilities

  • Maintain comprehensive records.
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation requirements, including the production and implementation of RAMs and other associated safety/project documentation
  • Forecasting costs and programmes
  • Oversee contracts and site personnel KPIs
  • Ensure the costs for all current projects are kept up to date
  • Provide input into contractual discussions involving costs, extensions of time, liquidated damages etc
  • Liaise with clients, site teams and other professionals

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within the water sector, as a Site Agent/Site Engineer.
  • Based within 30 miles of our Birtley offices (DH3 1QT)
  • A relevant qualification, such as a degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
  • Relevant site qualifications, such as a CSCS Card, SMSTS Certificate, safety quals
  • A strong knowledge of HSQE, with good commercial, contractual and procurement acumen
  • Knowledge of temporary works (Qualification is Temporary Works is desirable – TWC, TWS etc)
  • Be able to maintain and monitor works against a programme and budget
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Able to run multiple complex and noncomplex sites
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good computer skills – MS Office, MS Project
